D3Itamar Ben-Gvir — National Security Minister
Five-nation sanctions: 10 June 2025; prison-conditions boasts: 2023–2025; "encourage emigration" calls: Jan 2024 onward
- “The summer camps are over” — a minister boasting about worsening prison conditions.
- Sanctioned by five Western democracies for inciting violence against Palestinians.
- Called for “encouraging the emigration” of Gaza's population while fighting aid deliveries.
As the minister overseeing Israel's prison service, Ben-Gvir publicly boasted that "the summer camps have been stopped" and that reports of "abominable conditions" for Palestinian prisoners "were true" (The New Arab, Middle East Eye), and repeatedly called to "encourage emigration" of Gazans while opposing humanitarian aid, telling a rally the answer was to "encourage voluntary emigration" (Times of Israel). On 10 June 2025 the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway imposed asset freezes and travel bans on him, their foreign ministers jointly stating he had "incited extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights"; the Hind Rajab Foundation has separately filed a war-crimes complaint against him with the US Department of Justice.
