The War Crimes Safari
Documented war crimes: two-sentence summaries, mainstream sources, official responses, licensed images.
On images. We are an independent site with no budget to license professional photography. Images here exist to make the record visible: we attribute truthfully and openly, always link the original source, and stay as close to legal as the record allows. In the moral dilemma between exposing war crimes and deferring to copyright law, we chose the side of maximum impact — that is our principle. If your work appears here and you object, open an issue and we will simply remove it — though we would rather you saw it as your work bearing witness, credited, where it matters.
The closers — three you haven't heard
Because everything became completely normalized.
The Docket
The most spectacular cases: individuals, each anchored to a documented proceeding, sanction, or their own on-record statements. Then we decide who's next.
And yes — Hamas
Their documented crimes, held to the same standard as everything above. A designation is not a permanent fact about the world: the law that creates it also provides the route to undo it, and arguing for that is lawful speech, not support.
Proscribed as a terrorist organization: US (1997) · EU (2003) · UK (2021) · also Canada, Australia, Japan — supporting or fundraising for Hamas is a crime in these jurisdictions.
Yet engaged diplomatically: Qatar hosted its political bureau in Doha for over a decade; Egypt and Qatar mediate ceasefires with it; Turkey hosts and receives its leadership.
