D5Amichai Eliyahu — Heritage Minister
- “A nuclear bomb on Gaza is an option.”
- “There are no non-combatants in Gaza” — same interview.
- Suspended from cabinet meetings; kept the ministry.
In a 5 November 2023 Radio Kol Barama interview, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu said dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza was "one way" of dealing with the Strip and that "there is no such thing as uninvolved civilians in Gaza," and in a 24 July 2025 interview on the same station he said, as reported by the Times of Israel and Ynet, "the government is rushing to erase Gaza... All of Gaza will be Jewish." Prime Minister Netanyahu suspended him from cabinet meetings "until further notice" over the nuclear remark, and South Africa's Genocide Convention case against Israel at the International Court of Justice cited his statements as evidence of genocidal intent.
